About our school

Parry School is a New South Wales Department of Education School for Specific Purposes which caters for students with significant behavioural and emotional difficulties in years 7 to year 12. In 2015 staff and students moved into a bright, colourful new purpose built school with recreation spaces and fantastic grounds that offer an environment that enhances our programs. Students attending Parry School have a documented pattern of behavioural difficulties which, despite intensive interventions over an extended period of time, have not been effectively resolved. A major focus of Parry school is to assist these students better understand their behaviour and learn to accept responsibility for their actions. The school aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn new skills in a smaller and highly structured environment whilst still maintaining contact with their home school. The programs focus on teaching students the social, behavioural and academic skills necessary for them to make a successful transition back to their home school and continue further study. Our programs focus on positive interactions, through developing and implementing innovative and relevant curricula based on current educational research. Parry School is staffed by trained specialist educators.
